Strapping bands are widely used in packaging by means of holding together goods together on several pallets through to securing whole pallets. They can be positioned horizontally or vertically around the packaged items. Their tensile strength is considerable, but the bands themselves are not elastic. Furthermore, they can be used only with appropriate strapping band equipment. As the edges of the cardboard boxes can be easily damaged, packing protective corners are often used additionally here.
